China Wishes To Cooperate With Cambodia in Health Sector

China wishes to cooperate with the Cambodian Ministry of Health in controlling the quality of food, medicines, medical equipment and cosmetic.

The remarks were made known here on Apr. 4 by Mr. Bia Zhejia, Deputy Director General in charge of food and medicines of the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China during a meeting with Cambodian Minister of Health H.E. Mam Bun Heng.

Mr. Bia Zhejia further told H.E. Mam Bun Heng of his visit, the purpose of which he said is to learn about the Cambodian market for Chinese medicines and to invite the Cambodian minister to attend a seminar on food and medicines in the ASEAN Region to be held on Oct. 21, 2011 in China.

In reply, H.E. Mam Bun Heng warmly welcomed China's will to cooperate with the Cambodian Ministry of Health, especially in controlling food and medicines, stressing that this cooperation reflects the good ties of friendship between the two countries.

He also asked the Chinese side to help train Cambodia's human resource and provide equipment for controlling the quality of food and medicines. -AKP
