Latest Update on Cambodian-Thai Border Armed Clashes ---Round 6

--According to Cambodian officials, at 0340 this morningThai troops started to fire artillery pieces into Cambodian territory again after they were relatively quiet for almost the whole yesterday 27 April, Deum Ampil repports. The report also says that hundreds of artillery shells were fired since then. At 0636 the situation of the battlefields is heated and violent as exchanges of gunfire are fierce. Deum Ampil says that the clashes appear more serious than those of the previous days. It is reported that Thai troops fire hundreds of artillery shells and mortars deeper into Cambodian villages. Meanwhile, Kampuchea Thmey reports that Thai army does not use its ground troops yet, but it doubles the artillery shells firings. Thai reconnaisance aircraft is still continuing hovering above the area at the frontline.
