Indonesia has prepared an observation team to monitor the situation on the borders of Thailand and Cambodia. The departure of the team is pending in lieu of an agreement between the two countries experiencing this crisis over the boundaries of their borders.Indonesia prepared the observation team to ease problems in the Thailand-Cambodia border tensions. The Deputy VII Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Human Rights (empowerment) Sagom Tamboen disclosed that the personal observation team called the Indonesian Observer Team is now ready.
The team consists of 30 people. They comprise of 28 military personnel and two civilian members.
The team will monitor the activities of troops on the border between the two countries, both in the territory of Cambodia and Thailand. "So this team will be split into two, 15 in the Kingdom of Cambodia and 15 in the Kingdom of Thailand," he explained.
The departure of the team is still awaiting the agreement from both countries. Based on information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received from the Coordinating Ministry of empowerment, the Kingdom of Cambodia has been completed several plans that would serve as tasks for this team. This agreement will be discussed with the Kingdom
